Without the support of the MBAA, local racers & Arizona cyclist the NOVA national is likely to go away. Many people are not aware of what the NOVA National is. It is an Olympic Qualifier. It is a UCI sanctioned race. It is an opportunity for local racers to see the worlds best right here in their own back yard. The NOVA National brings the best our sport has to offer from all over the world.

Why is this important to the NOVA Youth Cycling, the MBAA & local racers?

The future of competitive mountain biking completely lays in the success of these races. Typical path a pro racer would take is the local State Championship MBAA which leads to a NORBA National Championship which leads to a UCI world championship that leads to the Olympics. Maybe some day an American could win GOLD!? But not if we don't support our sport at this level. This is your sport, don't you see how important this is?

PLUS+ Nova Youth Cycling Foundation is working very hard to bring the wonderful sport of cycling into the schools while other athletic programs are being cut & kids don't even have a gym class anymore. How would the sport of baseball be without the heroes? Heroes like Babe Ruth · Jimmie Foxx · Jackie Robinson · Ty Cobb!  The NOVA national is sooo important to the kids! It provides heroes in our sport, Geoff kabush, Todd Wells, Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski, Adam Craig! It shows our youth what is out there and what the possibilities are for an athlete! It teaches local racers that there is a path. We all need to be better about educating the local bicycle enthusiast. There are enough bicyclists out there & the US National races are the focus just like the Diamond Backs are to a high school baseball team.

Cycling is part of the school curriculum all over Europe! Did you know in California cycling is now part of the school curriculum! It is a sport supported just like Baseball in California.

This is an opportunity to come together and support our sport! I am sooo thankful for all that the MBAA, NORBA & Blue Wolf Productions are doing to help the NYCF & the sport of cycling in Arizona and the USA!!!
